
Chet Weld, Ed.D., LPC
Chet Weld has been a Christian counselor for most of the last 30 years. Presently, he serves as the Director of Pastoral Counseling at Casas Church. Trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and other counseling approaches, Chet now specializes in Intimacy Therapy, or Accelerated Relational Care, for couples.
Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, Chet earned his B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1970, his M.Ed. in Counseling and Guidance in 1977 from the University of Arizona, and his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in 2006. He also attended Union Theological Seminary in New York, New York from 1970-72 and earned a Bible Diploma from a three-year bible college in Tucson, Arizona in 1984.
Chet is certified by the International Board of Christian Counselors as a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor and has published in The Journal of Psychology and Theology and other journals.
