Pastor Derrek Engeler serves on staff at the Destin United Church in Destin, Florida. The 42,000 square foot Life Center features sports and recreation as a means to reach seekers with the message of Christ. Derrek has also served as e-Marketing manager for EvanTell Ministries, the largest supplier of evangelistic resources and training in the United States. Prior to his time at EvanTell, Derrek developed and served as the director of Stonebriar Community Sports, an outreach ministry of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas. A passionate evangelist to children, Pastor Engeler also ministered for four years in Sports Outreach Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church in the Dallas area, in youth ministry at Casas Church in Tucson, Arizona, and as an associate pastor at Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

Derrek's popular sports blog and podcast, www.nbapresspass.com, earned him regular guest spots on ESPN radio. His unique combination of gifts has allowed him to link high-profile Christian athletes with parents and children who need to know Christ. Derrek’s broad experience in ministry, blogging, podcasting, and web marketing make him a tremendous asset to PreachitTeachit.org.Derrek completed a Bachelor's degree in Religion and Communications from Baylor University and a Master's degree in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has been married to Brianna Barrier Engeler for nine years, and they have two sweet corgis, Ullie Gee and Joscelyn.
