Roger Barrier

Dr. Roger Barrier currently serves as senior pastor at Casas Church in Tucson, Arizona. In addition to being an author and sought-after conference speaker, Roger has mentored or taught over 8,000 pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders worldwide. He continues to partner with Intimate Life Ministries, founded by Dr. David Ferguson. Dr. Barrier began preaching at the age of 13, and he shares his 3,000+ sermons with you on PreachitTeachit.org.

His compelling teaching style is one-of-a-kind, combining a solid Biblical foundation with culturally relevant application, engaging illustrations, and astute scholarship. Casas Church, where Roger has served throughout his thirty-five-year career, is a megachurch known for a well-integrated, multi-generational ministry. The value of including new generations is deeply ingrained throughout Casas to help the church move strongly right through the twenty-first century and beyond.

Dr. Barrier holds degrees from Baylor University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Golden Gate Seminary in Greek, religion, theology, and pastoral care. His popular book, Listening to the Voice of God, published by Bethany House, is in its second printing. Dr. Barrier is currently completing a spiritual growth book that is intended to help Christians move into greater spiritual intimacy with God the Father.

Roger is an avid golfer, and he loves to read about and study astral physics, genetics, and neuroscience in his free time. He also enjoys cuddling his puppies, Surely and Goody.

The two Barrier daughters, Brianna and Bronwyn, are in full-time Christian ministry with Charles Swindoll at Insight for Living in Plano, Texas.
