False prophets tried to lie to Israel about the coming judgment upon their nation. Ezekiel the prophet was trying to help them with their blind spots by telling them truth. How do we live with the truth about ourselves? We must recognize that we have blind spots, and make mistakes. We must listen to wise counsel and build a hidden life with God.

Refusing to deal with the past robs us of our future. We must face and accept the truth and receive grace instead of guilt. Our "skeletons" from the past can be Satan's greatest weapons or God's most powerful tools.

God is wearied by the Israelites' excessive complaining. Instead of repenting, the Jews compare themselves with their pagan neighbors and ask, "Where is the God of justice?" We live in a time when most people in our culture don’t think. Instead, they “feel” and they believe that what they feel is truth. Most of what we see on television (both news and entertainment) and read in magazines, blogs and books is crafted to generate an emotional response, and in feeling it, to accept the feeling as truth. Critical thinking – objectively identifying what...
