Our assumptions keep many of us from faith. As we age, many of us stop believing and start assuming. We stop living out of our right brain imagination and start living out of left brain memory. We put eight foot ceilings on what God can do.

Lot's selfishness, misplaced priorities and spiritual dullness cause disaster. He and his family barely escape certain death because of God's amazing acts of mercy and grace. The lesson for us is to be vigilant, to keep our hearts pure and to focus our lives on God's plan and purposes.
