We find unlikely women in Christ's family tree: Tamar (the deceiver), Rahab (the prostitute), Ruth (the pagan Moabitess) and Bathsheba (the adulteress). Each woman was redeemed by her faith in God. Ruth is a great example of God's surprising grace. As we reflect on our past, we can see the invisible hand of God guiding our way.

Rahab, the Jericho prostitute, is first known by her reputation but remembered by her faith. She fears God and bases her life on the promise that God will save her. Because God looks beyond our labels, the past does not have to determine our future.
