James: Wisdom, Godliness, Integrity
James writes to dispersed Jewish Christians about how to rejoice in trials, to live wisely, to pursue godliness and to practice integrity.
If we lack anything, we can bring our request to Him. He is a giving God and is eager to respond to His children. We must learn to believe God without doubting, and develop a consistent walk of faith.
God uses troubles to purify us and mature us spiritually. If we respond to His discipline, He teaches us to persevere in the faith. Satan tempts us in order to draw us away from God. It is not a sin to be tempted. It is a sin to succumb to temptation. We must avoid Satan’s condemnation and praise God in the midst of tempting situations.
