Kevin Hamilton is a product of the musically rich community of Dallas, TX where he started singing in the church choir at the age of 5. His God-given gift made room for him as a leader and a soloist as early as 12 years old. Kevin started formal vocal training as a Baritone at the age of 15 where he became proficient at singing in Italian, Liturgical Latin, and spirituals while continuing to sing in the church.
After joining the US Air Force, Kevin started playing the piano in order to accompany himself during performances. Because of his strong musical ear as a singer, he quickly learned to play the piano. In the course of three years Kevin became the musical director of an African-American Theater Troop and later was asked to complete a one man tour in Japan. Kevin traveled throughout Japan as he performed to sold out audiences.
Kevin furthered his vocal training at Tennessee State University where he served as the Assistant Director of the University Choir. Transferring to the University of Arizona 1999 gave Kevin his first opportunity to perform in opera. With a principle role as Maseto in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Kevin began to learn the art of stage performance continuing on to more roles in opera and musical theatre.
Rounding off Kevin's accomplishments, Kevin, along with his wife Tanishia, co-founded the Southwest Soul Circuit which seeks to uplift, inspire, and entertain the Southwest community by combining music and community service. Previous artist include Trin-i-tee 5:7, Ron Brown, Soulfruit, Tim Clifton, and Grammy award winner Madukwu.
