Monitor Your Heart
Andy Stanley discusses how our behavior will eventually reflect the condition of our hearts. Hey, growing up in our home, and I bet your home was similar, there were certain words that were off limits in our home. And again, I grew up in a different generation than some of you, but here was one of the big ones. In fact, I, it’s hard for me to even say this out loud in church, okay? Darn. I was like, you know, this was like, not being able to say this word was a fence rule. A fence rule is a...

Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets
Sometimes an option we’re considering creates tension inside of us. When that happens, it can be tempting to ignore the discomfort or brush by it. But instead of doing that, we need to pay close attention to it. Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets, So, let’s begin with a question that I’m sure you have pondered probably most of your adult life. Why are people who’ve had too much to drink inclined to make such bad decisions? Do you ever wonder about this? Why are people who’ve had too much to...

Watch Your Heart!
A fence rule is a rule that keeps you from breaking a worse rule. Repairing Your Relationships
So as we've said throughout this series that repairing a broken or disrupted or awkward or damaged relationship, it's not easy. And oftentimes, not all the time, but oftentimes we actually want to. I mean, if we just push a button and the relationship was fixed or the relationship was better, we would. And even if we don't really want to oftentimes we know we ought to, want to. You ever ought to, want to. It's like, you know, if you ever pray and say, "God, I know what I should ask you for...

Why Easter is Still Relevant
You know if you think about it, the message of Easter has never been more relevant for the modern world than it is right now. And the interesting thing is that everybody is sitting up straight and paying attention. I mean the events of Easter are relevant because well they address our deepest and our greatest fears and all of our fears are pretty much front and center right now. Is everything gonna be all right? Is my family gonna be all right? Does God know about this? Does God care about...

Why Should We Have Hope? Peter's Escape
Why Should We Have Hope: Peter’s Prison Rescue Andy Stanley One of the objectionable, irrational, easy to criticize things about our faith as Christians is this, you've experienced this. We actually turn to God when bad things happen, believing he could have kept them from happening in the first place, isn't this true? Don't we all do this in fact, we encourage other people to do this. We actually turned to God when something bad happens and we turn to God with this crazy confidence that well...
