Jesus' teaching on the Kingdom of God provides many lessons for His followers. The parables of the sower, weeds, mustard seed, yeast, hidden treasure, pearl of great price, and the net describe various aspects of Christ's reign.

Pride is deceptive. A proud attitude can cause us to be self-reliant, and to steal God's glory for our own self-aggrandizement.

Humility is the antidote for pride. We surrender to God's refining work in our lives, resulting in obedience and faith.

Humble men like Moses see God's power and glory and are empowered to serve Him as kingdom priests in this world.

Pride can cause us to miss God's blessing in our lives when we refuse to depend on Him. We must find our identity and value in Him.

Pride is an over-concern with self, self-condemnation, and selfishness. We must learn to express our needs in a healthy way.

A wife should be a safe place for her husband. She should be a trustworthy and supportive confidant. Her husband should also praise his wife and be her spiritual leader. He should remove harmful influences from the home. A Christian marriage is always a testimony to others.
