The Missionary and the Axe Murderer

Drs. Eric and Elizabeth Schenkel were Harvard professors who gave up their careers to move to Uzbekistan to serve as missionaries. One night, the secret police attacked Elizabeth in their home by slicing her skull with an axe. The enemies wanted to blame the husband and imprison him for life. God helped him to fight off the two men, and Elizabeth shares her miraculous story of God’s power and deliverance. To this day, she has no brain damage and they continue to serve the Lord in a powerful way.
