God knows what is best for us. He created us (Psalm 139:13). He is omniscient and eternal (Isaiah 46:10; Revelation 21:6a). God is love (1 John 4:8); therefore, all He does is motivated and guided by love. To be capricious, selfish, or unfairwould be contrary to His nature.
